Is it the Nag Hammadi mentioned in the Bible somewhere?
Recently I grew intrigued by the writings of Nag Hammadi and is called Hermetic books, so in line with the tradition of the Corpus Hermeticum .** I wonder where in the Bible you can find mention of the Nag Hammadi, even if only is the city .** I want to know more about the Gospel According to Thomas and why exexactly his nickname was "Didymos" which translates as singles. Help me remember how Thomas might have been the spiritual twin of Jesus. Please list relevant sources.
Nag Hammadi, as others have said, never mentioned in Scripture. Own Thomas means "twin" (Thomas – Aramaic – Greek) didymus Didymus was not a nickname – was the Greek form of Aramaic name. Just Pedro mode (in Greek) was called Cephas (Aramaic) in Scripture, both words meaning "rock." Thomas seems to be his first name is not associated in any way with Jesus.
