No, these medals were won by a German team, which was won by a team from East Germany. At the time of Germany East and West Germany competed as separate teams, so I think it's fair to describe separately.

Val D'ISERE beyond Skiing Championship
The FIS and the International Ski Federation, which began the tradition to organize the world ski competitions in 1931, is one of the most anticipated of the experience of skiing for all serious skiers. These ski events at world are synonymous with famous ice rinks in Val d'Isere. The ski resort of Val d'Isere, however, is not just for skiing championship. This new ski resort is also for all other types of holiday fun.
Holiday History
If the first skier to visit the new ski resort of Val d'Isere, immediately notice that the city has a duality. A part of it clings to their past alive and the other part covers the future. The past is in the central and eastern parts of the city where architecture is dominated by villas. The houses are really charming the latest evidence of the past. The Val d'Isere was established during the Roman Empire and the church which was built in 1664 remains an important milestone today. Then came the slopes.
Skiing, when introduced in Val d'Isere, was not considered a winter sport. Skiing was the transport for church every Sunday. Children also ski when going to and from school. It was not until 1934 when Val d'Isère officially became a station slopes. A ski school was established in 1936 and finally a cable car was built in 1942 to replace an old ski lift. The name of the new ski resort Val d'Isere became famous and the city attracted the attention of many skiers. The western area of Val d'Isère is now lined with modern buildings high altitude.
Family Fun
The new ski resort of Val d'Isere is not only famous for the championship medals after winning its slopes, but also a great place to have family fun. The city is right on the border of the Vanoise National Park and the new ski resort has its own Snow Park, Park of Val. In the Park of Val, the whole family can enjoy easy hikes and visual proof of why the Val d'Isère is considered one of the most beautiful resorts. Snow Park has a playground for music and barbecue, and there are ski lifts and lifts for anyone interested in putting the skis to good use.
Important Information Skiing
When planning to visit and ski in Val d'Isere ski resort new, it is best to check first, traffic and parking plan. The skier areas were expanded and more snow guns are used to increase the snow.
