Prayer for Autumnal Equinox

The pine cone represents the pine tree's protection from the bitter winter winds and boiling summer suns. May we feel its protection.

The sweet grass represents the fertility of Mother Earth. We are thankful for the richness we have enjoyed this year. May its sweet smoke fill the air with hope for the coming year.

The dried sage is burned as an offering to Mother Nature, for it is told she enjoys the sweet smell of Her herb.

The golden candle represents the glorious colors of Fall, from brilliant blue skies to the goldenrod in bloom, to frosty mornings twinkling like diamonds in the early morning sun.

We thank you for the year we have enjoyed. We thank you for our prosperity and happiness. For the coming year, we ask for guidance in our thoughts and actions, for gentleness and kindness. May this day of earthly balance remind us of the balance we must keep in our lives. parker   09.22.05

    SPRING

A time of new beginnings. A new year, new growth. A time to shed the remnants of last year's old skins.

We now pass on to fresh ideas, hopes and renewed strength.

As spring sheds it's warm and nourishing energy upon us, may we remember, in the joy of spring, the lessons we learned from seasons past. Amen.  KM Todd 2006
